ON this blog we are discussing the failures of logic in the arguments presented by politicians, press, public and professionals alike. Sometimes we have the worst kind, factual errors that go unremarked and unchallenged onto the permanent public record. This is a redress for those errors, however at other times there are errors of the argumentation kind; the very unsophisticated sleight of hand stuff that is practiced by thousands of interviewing journalists every day. For e.g. A is opposed to B, and B supports C. Therefore A is opposed to C. Mostly though, we need just to say the things that have been left unsaid.
